QTVR : Downtown Austin - San Antonio and 5th
| I shot this Quicktime VR panorama from the Post Office at San Antonio and 5th in downtown Austin. The Post Office here is scheduled to be moved nearby to a new tower being built next year so a new 40 story high rise condo building can be built in it's location. | ||

| To the right is a new condo high-rise under construction right behind the pile of rubble that was the abandoned Intel building that was recently demolished (It's still standing in a QTVR I shot back in March 2005). Panning further to the right there's yet another high-rise condo under construction, and the Austin City Lofts. If you pan to the left you can see a new high rise under construction next to Republic Park, and then the Plaza Lofts condo building at 5th and Guadalupe. | ||

I really think Austin is losing a lot of it's charm and uniqueness with all of this. With all the new high-rise condos and redevelopment it's becoming a place just for the rich yuppies. |
