Tim's Head Homemade Ravioli : Ravioli Pasta and Ravioli Filling
September 4, 2005
I love Italian food, and have always loved ravioli. I decided to have a go at it and have posted my recipes and the entire process needed to make your own ravioli dumplings at home. It's not hard to make, and there's pictures and step by step instructions from start to finish.

Ravioli Pasta

Ravioli pasta is really pretty simple. It's just semolina and all-purpose flour, egg, oil, salt and a little water.. It's fun to make and requires no special tools. Although you could use a "pasta machine" you don't need one, I rolled mine out by hand. More people would probably make their own homemade pasta if they knew how easy it really was. =)

Ravioli Filling

You'll need something to fill your ravioli dumplings with, so I've posted a pretty simple Ravioli filling recipe that's easy to make and tastes good. If you're a vegetarian you could always do something with spinach, cheese and herbs.. But since I'm a carnivore I made mine with some browned ground beef, grated parmesan and fresh oregano and parsley.
