| Making homemade pies and pie crusts is easy, and much more fun than buying pies that have been sitting around in the grocery store bakery for a day or two. Making the filling yourself from fresh fruit also ensures your pies won't have all the preservatives and weird chemicals the canned fillings often have, woo? | ||

I used to use this pie crust stuff that came in sticks (sorta like butter sticks), but I like homemade better since there's no preservatives and junk in it that way. The ingredients are very simple, and it's not hard to make if you take your time, and should make a nice flaky crust. |

Making a homemade flakey pie crust isn't hard, and the ingredients are pretty simple. This recipe cost a little more to make since I used mostly organic ingredients and apples, but you can make it quite a bit cheaper if you buy non-organic ingredients at your local chain supermarket. |
